Although officially formed in 2009, New Hollow began taking shape several years earlier, when members Chad Blashford, Evan West, and Michael Clouse first crossed paths while attending middle school in New Albany, OH. The boys got serious when they hit high school, eventually dropping out altogether in order to focus on their vocal harmonies and pop/rock songwriting. New Hollow played their first show as the opening act for American Idol's David Archuleta and quickly struck up a partnership with Justice, a girl’s fashion store that previously helped Justin Bieber and the Jonas Brothers get off the ground. With Justice hawking the band’s music at each of its stores, New Hollow began making waves in late 2010, cracking the Hot 100 with the debut single “SiCK” and singing the National Anthem during the Dallas Cowboys’ Thanksgiving Day game. ~ Andrew Leahey, Rovi
