Philadelphia rappers Duerwood Beale, Walter Griggs, and Robert Walker formed Three Times Dope and released their debut, Original Stylin', in 1989. It was filled mainly with boasting, self-promoting narratives, and comic/novelty material, though the "What's Going On" medley attempted to address social issues. Their second release was Live From Acknikulous Land in 1990, which tried to be a more serious "concept" work. ~ Ron Wynn, Rovi
