really ought to go and practice her ukulele. She is feeling slightly despondent about it........

Notes: My phrasing isn't perfect, but this is such a cool little song. Apparently, the original was by a group called Classics IV but Dusty's version is the best, do listen to her singing this number, her voice will give you goosebumps.
w00fie, my dear, are you back with us??
I do hope so!!! And what a nice
surprise to see you featured today ;)))
Come back soooooon, hugs and kisses hun!

I have been lurking now and again, my
dear M. I hope to come back and sing and
listen soon.

Thanks for the hello (I fear everyone
else must be ignoring me due to me not
commenting on others for ages!).

Lovely to see your happy face.

Oh no, don't you think that, w00fie!
Midomi has been so strange lately, many
bugs and many people also leaving for a
while... I have been away myself, for a
long time too, but hey we don't forget
about you! ;)

Hey, w00f. How have you been?
(Don't answer that!)

I could hardly believe my eyes when I
saw your "Spooky" as the "featured" song
for the day. I thought it meant you had
recorded a new version. Awww... but it's
this one from last year. (Not that it
isn't a great rendition, but it would
have been so good to know you're singing

I've been missing you.
Midomi misses you.

Oh Howie, I have come back from the
grave to spook all the Midomi users over

I will certainly sing before long!

In the meantime - I think I have gone
stupid, not spooky.
Midomi sent me notification that this
song was going to be featured on 31
October and I thought, oh nice. It was
only several days later that it dawned
on me why this title was chosen - duh

Love to everyone - keep singing!

Oh, it's a Holloween thing!
I get it. LOL.
At least you figured it out in a few
days. I would probably never have
realized it if you hadn't hinted

Good to know you can still sing from
the grave, w00f. Looking forward to your
next rendition.

Oh, my Classis IV had a lotta good
songs...this one and "Stormy" i really
Posted by bassman808 on 04/21/2008.
I will have to check them out, as this
is a very unusual song, nice jazzy feel,
just the type I like!

Will have a look for Stormy very soon,
thanks for the tip Tom :)

I am delighted to have tickled your
eardrums, Biggles. Thank you for being
so kind about this song, it's a terrific
little teasing melody, isn't it? I
appreciate your comments very much.

I don't know about the Atlanta Rhythm
Section, but I found this article:

which says the original was by Classics
IV but I can't say I know that version -
I found this gem when I was listening to
Dusty Springfield on YouTube, trying to
find Dusty songs nobody had sung before
- that is my passion, finding things
nobody has sung before, Biggles! I am
sure we share a love of lots of the same
songs, you know.

Love this song, w00f, and your
rendition. Yet oddly, I'm pretty sure
I'd never heard Dusty's version until
now. For me it was always the Clasics
IV. ...until now! (^_^)

Thank you, Howard :D

Yes, it was the Classics IV according
to wikipedia article here:

I don't recall that version, and just
came across this fab version by Dusty
when having a hunt around YouTube for
Dusty recordings (and dusty recordings).
Glad you enjoyed it, the song is such
fun, and great fun to sing. Someone else
had a go at singing this on Midomi, but
their complete version isn't available,
so can I still claim this as a first?

We'll have our lawyers look into this
question. Thank you for your interest.
Posted by HowardH on 03/24/2008.
I await the decision with interest,
Inspector Howard. I am keeping
everything crossed in the meantime,
which makes it rather hard to walk.

Uhhhhhh sooooo sexy w00fie!!! Awwwww!!
:D This is so wonderful! And like our
friend Dewi I feel like getting this CD
now! Thanks for introducing us to this
song cause I have never heard it before
and what a miss it would have been!
Gracias ! :D

Thank you sooooooooo much and for adding
this to your playlist. This song has
been used as an advert for something in
the UK recently, but for some reason, I
didn't realise that it was Dusty until
trawling YouTube for some of her
recordings. When I heard her singing the
whole song I was just blown away, it
sounds so fresh and sexy. I am SOOOO
glad you enjoyed it, thank you again. I
loved singing it, you should have a go!

Thank you sooooo much, Dewi. I am so
glad you enjoyed it, and want to go and
buy the album after listening to this
song. It is such a sexy slinky little
number, I think.

I really value your comments - have you
signed up for the forum yet?

dusty's album.

just fine.
